Menuchah Press Background:
The name ‘Menuchah’ was given me by Holy Spirit in 2000, then highlighted in 2023 as the name for my self-publishing ventures.
To whom [Yahweh] said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And, “This is the refreshing;” Yet they would not hear. Isaiah 28:12 NKJV.
Or, paraphrased by me as: “This is the resting place; let the weary rest and be refreshed!”
Rest in Hebrew is ‘menuchah’ (ham·mə·nū·ḥāh) [Pronounced ‘men-oo-khaw’], a noun meaning: A resting place, rest, quietness, place of stillness (Strong’s Concordance #4496). He leads me beside the waters of menuchah (Waters of Refreshment) Psalm 23:2 (Strong’s #4496). It comes from the verb ‘nuach:’ To rest; soothe, settle down, comfort (Strong’s #5117).
Rest in Greek is ‘anapauó.’ “Come unto Me … and I will give you rest.” Matthew 6:31; 11:28 (Strong’s #373).
